Fashion in society & minds by the Boulevardiers
Discovering British food scene, when you’re French, is really a good journey. I have ton confess that before moving to London, I had some misconceptions. Really big ones.
Some became facts; but some were really wrong. And thanks to FlavrBox, my tasty knowledge is growing. Yummie!!!
One of my favorite discoveries is the so called “Jackson Bar“, officially declared as “the son of flapjack” (yeah, I had to go to google translator to get the point). The cereal bars, produced by Bailey’s Real Food in Herefordshire, reinvent the taste of Ginger with some spices.
Here are the ingredients:
Ingredients: British Oats (33%) Ginger (16%) (Ginger, Sugar, Water) Unsalted Butter, Mixed Seeds (13%) (Sunflower, Pumpkin, Sesame) Sultanas, Raisins, Honey, Rice Syrup, Desiccated Coconut, Chilli (1%) Ginger Powder, Orange, Vegetable Oil.
It tastes good, it tastes fresh, and it tastes GOOD FOOD. (I should then also get rid of my Diet Coke, damn…).
and as they write: ...mmm ginger, oooh chilli, aaahh – spice it up, live a little!
(good philosophy)
